ORQUESTA SILBANDO XL

"The great masters of Argentine tango revisited with great vigor by eight musicians of the Parisian scene uniting verve and fantasy." Télérama

We see them everywhere in Europe, we hear them again and again in the airwaves of FIP: the musicians of the Silbando orchestra offer a lightning music full of energy and smoothness.

Silbando was born in 2010 in Paris from the meeting of young musicians of various nationalities (France, Argentina, Chile, Spain), with the common project of promoting and bringing a new identity to the Argentine tango of the golden age and great masters. This young orchestra offers a playlist that invites to rediscover the great classics of Argentinean tango and to venture into unknown pieces, through the interpretation of reference versions and personal arrangements.

With two albums to their credit (including the brand new Manos Arriba, warmly welcomed by the press), the orchestra has performed in many festivals and cultural venues in France and many European countries as well as in Argentina during a tour in October 2014 where it was welcomed as one of the best tango orchestras of the current scene.

During an evening, we will have the pleasure of appreciating an exclusively concert playlist, composed of tangos of yesterday and today: interpretation of reference works, composers and current arrangers as well as arrangements of Silbando.
